SUMMER HOLIDAYS

Well, I'm not interested in this summer vacation, for many reasons
first; I have no money
second; this summer I do my pre-practice and I don't know how long it will take me, (but I do not think it's much) maybe two or three weeks.
third; for some reason, I'm not excited about vacations
fourth; my friends made the decision to not travel this summer, for work in part-time in vacations, And maybe I do the same.
fifth; my mother changed jobs this year, so she doesn't have vacations this summer, and for that my family will not take vacations this summer
Usually, I take my holidays whit my friends of high school but I don’t think this will happens this summer.
But maybe in winter vacation in June or July, my friends and I will go to Peru. But is just an idea.

If this summer I will travel somewhere
I will go to Puerto Montt to visit my family and distract me a little because this year has been horrible for me, also the south is so beautiful. If I stay there, I would like to camp or swim on the beach, or go to the farm and spend the hours with the animals.

If I stay in Santiago this summer...
Well, maybe I will work during the week and I'll go out to the beach or the countryside or something out of town on weekends whit my family because this year I have not seen them enough.
I would like to go to parties or visit my friends too.
 And the most important thing for me is to rest, because this year was so tiring, and I would like to sleep for days

My Pet

I have a pet, his name is Lucas and he is a dog.
Lucas is about 8 years old, he is very old.
He is brown, but in the present he has a little gray for his age.
He is a big dog, and most people fear him because he is bigger and stronger than most dogs, but he always wants love, even throws himself at people and embraces them all. He just wants love.
He is so cute and sweet, he will can never hurts someone, because he is very docile, but as he is too big it is very difficult for me to go to a park with him, because his force is more than my force, so when we take a walk he goings without chains, and he's going free for the park
Arrives home in 2009 when I am 12 years old. At this time he was very small and adorable

. I will never forget that day because I want a pet for a long time and my family  finally accepted . I was very excited and happy.
When Lucas was little, he always escaped the house while i went to school. My house was empty until the middle of the afternoon so he stayed alone.
He tried to follow me to my school, but he got lost. So when i went home , i found he in other house
I love my dog a lot. For some reason, I feel that he can understand me when I am sad or happy. He also always stays with me when I'm studying. My dog always stays for me and gives me love at all times. I think it's the best pet I could have.
Even when my father or mother defies he, it's a very 

difficult time for me and I always cry because I feel sad when he is punished.
I can't imagine my life without him. Because he is part of my family,  and lose him, it will be like having lost a brother

POSTGRADUATE STUDIES

Sometimes I think that others studies I can do in the future. But i don't know what i really want yet.
I suppose this may be related to what I want to do in the future or maybe where I will wanna work.
well is a dificul quiestion beause i think i ‘am so a little joven to planed this. At the present i don't interestin a posgrade yet but i was investigating and some of them make my atention.

I like the cosmetologyc industry, so maybe I can do a postgraduate in this area.

I have written before that I want to study veterinary medicine after this career.
if I do not do this, I want to do some magister or doctorate with the drugs in animals
and to do this I would like to travel or to do this in another country because I love exotic animals and I want to work to protect them. Perhaps with the knowledge that I will have in the futture when i finish this career I will can help other scientists to help or have better regulation of medicaments of somes animals.

I understand that whit the doctorate a lots of students travel to study in other countries . So this  is perfect to me becausse a enjoy travel and work and meet other people.

In veterinary faculty of my university exist very interesting doctorates
maybe I can do some there, that will be related whit my career.

But in the present is not a problem for me, because I still do not know what I want to do in the future. I hope that in two or three years in the eighth semester, have the clearest ideas about it.

MY FUTURE JOB

I always think what I wanna do whit my carrer in the future
well i have three options
i will like to work in a laboratory. I dont like work in investigation but i think maybe in industry could like me more.
My second option is work in cosmetical industry. This area make my atention but I don't know too much about it, but i believe is important the work of the pharmaceutical chemist of diffusion and contribution to the technical and scientific knowledge in cosmetical area

And my third option is to work in toxicology and the correct use of medicaments on animals. I would like to do this in another county.
Also when I finished this carrer, I have been thinking about studying veterinary or something related
I think all these ideas can take place indoors because I need a lab, maybe the third option can take place on the outside.
I would like to travel a lot because I know many different places and different people. I also believe that with people from other countries or regions I can learn more and have other ideas
in the present I do not yet have any specificity, but in the future I would like to take Ecology,
polymers in medicine, and Advanced Cosmetic Technology.

I do not really care about salary or money, and it was never a topic for me, I think living with the necessary is enough
Also for some reason, I would never have planned on having a big family, so I do not think I need a lot of money.

THEMATIC POST - NATIONAL HOLIDAYS (SEPTEMBER 18th)

 National holidays it was a relaxed week to me in comparated with other years.

I started celebrating in september 15th

In Quimifonda. This day i was very sick. Even I could not speak because I had no voice.

But anyway it was a very good day because i danced to much and i stayed with my friends.

In september 16th i met with my school friends

We have a tradition to met us in september before national holidays.

In september 17th i went to my cousin's home

He lives in Lampa.To me is a long travel because i live in Puente Alto, but i enjoyed this day with my family.They were do a barbacue and empanadas. I am a vegetarian person. So my mom did for me especially empanadas with soya meat. And it was delicious. My family did karaoke and i stayed with my nephew.

And the september 18th i went to my uncle's house with my parents.

So this day i went to raise volantines because i like, but i cut me with "hilo curado" of some other person.

In september 19th I went to a fonda with friends of university

We climbed to a games like in fantasilandia

It was very funny, alsowe drink chicha and terremoto and eat to much.

The other days i rested a little

One day i went to templo Bahai's in Peñaflor, other day i visited my grandmather and we went to cementery to visited my grandfather

And the last day i went to stadium with a friend to see universidad de Chile. I did not go to stadium for many years and this experience was great i enjoyed to much and also i did not seen my friend in many time so it was a emotional moment.

FAVOURITE MOVIE

One of the movies that I most like is "50 first day"
this is a romantic comedy movie . The movie was stuck in 2004 and the director is Peter Segal.

This movie is about a girl who lost the memory and everyday has to repeats the same day. This happens because she had an accident in a car with his father. The protagonist is Lucy (Drew Barrymore), she ended up with a wound in her head,and for that she  loses her memory every night when she is sleeping. So she cans remember that happened in the present day and always repeat the day of the accident (october 13 of 2002).



This movie is a love story because one day, a man, Henry Roth (Adam Sandler) a biologo of hawaii met lucy in a coffee where they had good felling. They plan to meet again, but when this happens she does not recognize Henry.
This is a love story because Herny every day try that she love him.


The movie had very good actors, like Adam Sandler  Drew Barrymore Rob Schneider  or Sean Astin.  The Story  happened in hawaii. So the passages are very beauty and have lots of animals. Also Is a funny movie because always is happens different comical situations.
I like 50 first dates because is a movie to see en family or friends and I always enjoyed it.
I don’t like too much the romantics movies but this one never bored me
I watched this movie for first time when ii was 8 years old and I can see it as it were the first time

The best Holidays

The best Holidays was in summer of 2017. This year
This holidays I didn’t stay whit my family. They are very important to me but
for their jobs they could not go on vacation.

These holidays I went to 3 different parts of my country.
The first one was "Pichilemu" in January whit a friends of university; we stay there for one week,
In there we went the beach every day and we went parties every night.
Also we were relax from the stress of Santiago and we met each other a little more

The second place I went was “Viña del Mar”
at the beginning of February for 8 days whit my best friend in the world.
His family always invited to me but I never went. so this year I took the decision to go whit them and I enjoy too much, because I was can share and enjoy with his family and he . In Viña we walk a lot. We toured many beaches and went to many restaurants and craft fairs. Also i could know the Casino. Now I know the city and I love it and i could do it whit a very important person.

And the third place where I went was "Chiloe", I went with my school friends, this girls are very important in my life. We have many histories together and we are been friend for very years. We went to the south in a bus. I only bought the one way ticket, because I didn’t want to come back. We went like 2 or 3 weeks. In Chiloe we are moving “Backpacking”. We camped in different places, like Ancud, Castro, Dalcahue. But we did not meet the whole island. Also I could visited my family in “Puerto Montt”, and this was very emotional to me .This last trip was a little intense because we met very people and we had some problems. But this helped us to strengthen our friendship and to remain united.

These holidays were very emotional for me to enjoy with many people and I could pay them with my own money because I worked last year. But I missed my family a lot and I called them everyday.

A COUNTRY I WOULD LIKE TO VISIT

I will like to visit Brazil,
I usually see Brazil in movies and I think that has beautiful places and landscapes, I have seen in photos  great beaches and beautiful architecture. Also I will like to know Atlantic Ocean. 
I know is the biggest country in Latin-American, and is a multicultural country, the main language is the Portuguese. This country was dominated by Portugal and other counties like Germany and Italy.
I do not know much about the culture, but if I go someday I would like to study about this country and know some places to visit them.

But I only have just one principal reason to visit Brasil. I would like go to “Carnaval de Rio de Janeiro” because I consider the biggest party in the world.
I think is so Colorful and exciting. all the people look so cheerful, glorious, pretty and alive.
I hope one day I will be there dancing and celebrating. At the present i just think “I can’t die without went there”. This will be my principal objective of the trip.

I don’t want live or work there, I just want to go visit this country for a vacations. 
Because so many people told me about Basil that is not a very good place to live, because had some many inequality and I usually read that has many armed violence and delinquency, (but I think that happens in a lot of countries). 
But If i am there and Brazil catches my attention to live maybe I will stay there  for some time. But I don’t think so.

My Blogging Experience

Well I think this experience was different and interesting, I think it's a good idea to practice the language. This is because we need to explain about a theme and try to communicate with our classmates and tell them about our lives on the blog. .

I liked when we talk about different topics from university, because it is more interesting and this It clears and relaxes me and let me know a little more to my classmates and friends. For example I liked when we talk about "My favourite photography"

After doing this blogs, I think I have developed my vocabulary, because usually I do not read or write in English but now I do that. Maybe not to much but i can do something. Also this experience helps me with other subjects in the career like physiology or research.

I think we can do in our homes, because it is more comfortable and relax. Also I think we can write or talk with other people blogs in other section, to communicate with others classmates, because this way, the experience will be more interesting and dynamic.

Also in the future maybe we can write about our hobbies or the countries and places that we have visited or about the most important person in our lives.

From the invisible to the visible world and back...

The distillation is a method used in chemistry to separate different liquids of a mixture about it Boiling point to obtained Each substance separately
The greater the difference between the boiling points of the substances in the mixture, the more effective the separation of their components; That means, the components will be obtained with a higher degree of purity.
I think this is very important for every carrier about chemistry ... because it is a very good method because it is effective and easier.
We use that for every separation in liquids and purify the compound.
Exist different tips of distillation.
Fractional distillation
Steam Distillation
Vacuum distillation
Centrifugal molecular distillation
Sublimation
Destructive distillation
About I know, The distillation it's use in the industries in different cases
For example in the obtaining of alcoholic drinks or in the obtaining of petroleum products
This is a benefit because of this method we obtaining: gas, naphtha kerosene, and lubricants. This is energy not renovate.
Maybe a disadvantage is that the heating may require a lot of energy to achieve boil some compounds
Without the distillation the obtaining of this compound will be more difficult.


In the laboratory of the university we have learned to mount a system of a simple distillation in this case we have a balloon whit the mixture and apply hot to boil the compound, and the gases will go to condenser.
The condenser with water can cool the compound to make it liquid again and recuperated.
It is known that distillation has been used for the purification of water for domestic use, schools or hospitals if there is not bottled water or clean tap water available. For this would be a good method for the future to save water and to return to reuse it.

This can help the environment and make an impact on the welfare of the people, due to the lack of fresh water in many regions, reducing the excessive consumption of water.

The most enjoyable subject

The subject that I most like at the moment is physiology, because i like the biology, and this subject is a branch of biology, where is studied the organs of living beings and their functions in system, I like this subject because to me is very interesting and exciting understand everything that is happening in an organism, and I think this is especially necessary for my career.

Although it is an exciting subject, the class is not really funny or motivating, because the teacher just is talking for 3 hours and this is very stressing, also if you don´t understand in the beginning of class is difficult To understand later because the teacher is talking about different things all the time, and is very easy to get lost or confused.

In the class the teacher use a lots of pictures, because is better see in a caricature the cells and system to perceive and comprehend the information.
Usually we have theoretical class, because I think that we did not get yet the knowledge yet to go to the laboratory, although sometimes we have “Practical works” where the teacher show us an experiment and we need develop an inform about that, in this case is necessary investigate about this theme. Those informs are in groups of 4 or 5 persons, this part I like too much because we compared ours results to get to a concussion.
Also we have seminaries where we development all together, different answers about a theme, like for example Action potentials, hormones, receptors, etc. I think that in every class I learn more with this mechanism of work.

I have just one problem, I like this subject, but regrettably I’m not good for that, because I understand a lot, but I find it hard to memorize it, because is too much information, also I don’t write fast and sometimes I don’t reach to write everything that the teacher says.
Once in a while I don´t study this subject… but it´s happened because I need study for other subject and I didn’t have time for physiology, but this is very common in the career, because we have lots of subjects and little time

My Favourite Book and Film

I am so bad to read, because I don’t like too much, it never liked me because I thought it was very awful… when I was a little child, I always said to my mom that I was reading the books that the school that it send me, but one day she made me read aloud and I read horrible,
Since that day I read at least one book    a month. The lecture is very important , especially in my career, because we always are reading about information and discoveries, and we need know the development of new manufactures of drugs or something like that.

Two years ago, I seen a movie that I liked to much, it name is Maze Runner, and I love the principal actor Dilan Obrien, the movie was so intense that I didn’t mean see the end to read the book.
I took a week to read the book, because is so good, it fantastic and fast to read, also has a love story in the middle.
The story is about adolescents that are closed in a farm and the only way to scape is from a labyrinth.

In this farm just are men and only one women, that is one of the principal personages.
The book is very emotional because, the guys did no remember anything about their life before. Also the labyrinth has monsters and a million traps.
This was the book that most I liked, and I read the other ones (because is a trilogy) in a short time, this reading helped me with my grammar and orthography .

I Like see movies, I go to cinema like 2 or 3 time in a month
The movie that most I like is… the amazing Spiderman 2, because is a romantic movie, and I cry with every romantic movie, I don’t know why, but this movie It thrills me too much. I love the action, the fight the drama, but the end is terrible.
Also i like to much the actors Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield.  Also when the movie premiered they were boyfriends in the real life.
This is not a cult movie but a movie to have fun and have a good time with family and friends

A Photograph You Like

I have a lots photos that I like… because I thinks that a picture save a story or a memory.
Even in my bedroom I have more or less a One hundred photos in my wall, I call this wall “the mural of memories” this is a place in my bedroom that I love, all the people who comes to my home keeps like five or six minutes seeing my mural.
It’s very difficult choose a favorite photograph.

But one of my favorites is this
In this photograph my friends and I went to march in June 2015 with some teachers of my ex School.

That day I went to give my test driving and I Failed, it was so terrible to me because i practiced too much. I was so sad, because I didn’t know how to say to my parents that I was failed because they would have me afflict. After that While I was going to march in Alameda I met whit my friends in the street and that’s was a surprise to us, because anybody knows that the others were going to march.
Well in this photograph there is only 4 persons, but really we were like fifteen and I was so happy because I didn’t see my friends in a long time and I didn’t expect to see them that day.
She is Andrea, she is my friend since 2011, she is amazing, maybe one of the strongest people that I know.
The guys are Martin and Saulo;
Martin was my best friend when I was in school but for time we got distanced, but we love us too much yet.
While we were marching i saw a photographer i knew and I ask him if he could photograph us. He took like 5 photos but this one reaches me my heart.

2 month after that story I was able to get my driver's license, but I always remember when I was so sad and disappoint of myself, but I see my friends and my sadness is over.

Music in my Life

I like different kinds of music, English music and Spanish music, is very comfortable to me do everything with music, like study in night or maybe doing the homework , and clean home. when i do this thing i listen to loud music.

I think the music is very necessary in life, but regrettably I am very bad at playing any instrument. I like the drum but i think that never can play that because is too difficutl to me.
When I was child maybe in 4° grade I was in a chorus group of my first school.
And after, maybe in 6° grade, I play the guitar, but I forgot everything about that. I really don’t think i was good at that. Maybe I dreamed with be a super star or something, but I don’t remember…

At the present I do not have a favourite singer or group but I usually listen to some kinds of music like reggaeton chill and electronic music, but this week and listened a lot of Dua-Lipa, Martin Garrix Rihanna and Ariana Grande.
But also I like 80’s music and the kind of music that listen my father, whit this kind of music it reminds me the trips whit my family and is very emotional for me.

When I was 13 I listened Jonas Brothers and Hannah Montanna!!! At the present I don’t listen this music but I don’t mind listening and also i listened the music of Glee at the present i hate them. Glee was a series of student in a school, but these people sing for everything and every day , I think the music of movies is very important but whit this serie it was a lot And I ended up hating it.

About movies I remember "my heart will go on"  of titanic, I like this song , and  "pocketful of sunshine "  of Easy A  In a very funny part of the movie 

And all the songs of Disney movies I know all the songs and I always sing them.

To me the music is very important because rejoice my days!!!

My favourite piece of technology

I’m usually using different technology pieces, but i really like my Smartphone, because is very small and comfortable compared with other pieces. Also I got everything there; I got my music, my movies and thousands of photos with my friends and my family.
I love take photos, and I need a smartphone that takes very good pictures, in special when i travel or when I go concerts because i like to keep my memories this way.
Also I’m always listening music; I do that in any place where I go, if I go to university, if I go to mall, in train, and even in class.Although i like be connected, i don’t like write in “What’s App”, I usually talk in voice notes, or simply I call my friends, I think write fast It’s impersonal, for this I prefer call them, and my smartphone let me do it.
My smartphone save my files of different areas, and I always study with it, because it’s comfortable to me, and I do that in any place.
I had my first smartphone in 2013 when I was in school, I did not use it too much in this time, because I did not needed read a lot, also the camera was not good, I only had music in that phone, but I had a lots of music of different styles.

But now I use my smartphone many times in the day to communicate with my classmates and study. At the present I use my smartphone like a tool to study and do my tasks. Also I can read the news there, and this way keep me informed.

I really like my smartphone because in a single object I got lots of things!!
And i can do everything that I want.
I can stay in contact with other people, because I can download different social networks, and get an image of a place that I like, I can found maps, videos, a uber, music and different apps that makes my life simpler.
My life without my smartphone…
I think that a smartphone it’s not very important, I like but it’s not all in life
Maybe my life will be more disorganized but with effort I could fix it.

Choosing my career

It was a very difficult decision because i like lots of things, and different areas. My career is about science has a lot of chemistry and biology.

When I was a little girl I never thought of someday I will be a scientific, the most similar was be a doctor or nurse, but I don’t like blood. I’m not a person who dreamed with her profession, but I always dreamed with travel. Maybe I thought I will be a stewardess or something like that.
I don’t really remember that I wanted to be when ground up.



When I was in school, had science class and I liked that but I hated the teachers…all of them.  But always was a good student because my parents are very strict, also in Chile notes are necessary to postulate to university,
So I had to work hard to get good notes, but the school ended and I did not know what do with my life.

I postulated to Universidad Diego Portales, in medical technology, but I was never sure about that. The day when I need matriculate I didn’t go… because I was very scared and I did not want that of my life


I talk with my dad and he understood me. This summer I was very sad and disappointed of me, but my family takes me travel to south of my country and Bariloche, Argentina.


When I come back, I studied too much and I dedicated myself to finding my vocation. And I found 3 careers that I really like.
My favorite it was veterinarian but I did not want studied in Santiago, because I love the south and I want study in other region.

The other one was agronomy. And finally Chemistry and Pharmacy.
I made this decision because one day I went to a talk in university about different careers and I ask about chemistry and pharmacy. And this career surprise me, it was very interesting and different. Today I think it was a great decision, I love the career because have all subjects that I like!! and I love the laboratory, it is very difficult but when I stay there I’m really happy I enjoy when i come to class because I like learn new things and the most that I like are my friends! They are great. Make my days happier
In the future I hope work in a laboratory or help animals and people of Africa with my knowledge of sciences.

Getting to know each other...

Hi! My name is Michelle Osorio,
But usually anybody calls me Michelle, all my friends know me like Miki or Micoca.
I use this blog for my english class, where i write about my friend, family, teachers, jobbies and different things about my life!
Well, I'm from Santiago, Chile. I live with my family yet
we are 5, my mom, my dad, my sister and my dog. I Love my dog, it's the best dog!! is big and strong and so cute!!!!!!
 At present i Study Chemistry and Pharmacy at the university of Chile.When i was in school, i studied in Liceo 7, in providencia,it was a girls school... everybody thinks this is awful.... but it's really amazing!! i met my best friends there. Also in front of my high school, has a men's college, and i met Diego there, He is my best friend of all times, we met in 2013 and i really think our friendship will last forever.

I'm  vegetarian  from about a year,  and i hope to be vegetarian for very long time.

i consider myself  a happy and positive person but sometimes i'm very very stressed.
